I have not had any results from the botox in my toes but I did have another appointment today with a foot and ankle specialist at the UW Medicine in Seattle, and I have another appointment with the surgeon tomorrow. If all goes well, I should be having the surgery in the next couple of weeks. It is bittersweet for me. I am really excited to finally feel more like myself again and to stand flat on the ground, to be my regular height of 5’3 instead of 5’8 and to see how much better my waddle-walk gets. But I am also kind of nervous/sad about it and I didn’t expect to feel this way. I am kind of disappointed that this is what it really did end up coming to. Having my Achilles tendon cut in both of my ankles makes me worried that it may actually make me weaker. I just keep picturing my tendons snapping later down the road as I try and do the active things I hope to be able to do. But the one thing I am most excited about is being able to put rollerblades on!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 haha if it works out and I can actually rollerblade, even if it is with a walker….I am going to have a rollerblading party! My niece just had one for her birthday yesterday, and we tried to shove my leg braces and stuck down feet into them…but it didn’t work.
